Beach DaySlow it down.. Experience a short Terraba River boat crossing to Garza Island. Garza Island stretches 6.5 kilometers, separating the Terraba River and Pacific Ocean. The Southern Tip of the Island is known as Boca Brava (Angry Mouth) of the Terraba River. At low tide, the North end of the Island offers an extensive, shallow beach area with gentle, cool wave action of the Pacific Ocean. Relax on mocha colored sand and enjoy the sounds of the wildlife and waves. This sunny beach and Terraba River mouth are part of the spectacular view from El Castillo. As the High Tide recedes, the Ocean/River waters around the Island reveal several interesting rock formations. Another popular feature of the island is the short hike through the tropical vegetation of the Island’s dry forest. This beach is very tranquil and is not visited by great amounts of tourists; it’s a local fishermen’s secret. Contact Us for more information or read more |
